About Me

I'm Sarah and I'm a 30-something nail polish/nail art enthusiast from Northeastern Pennsylvania.

I used to be a horrible nail biter, from the time I was a little kid up until the summer before my senior year in high school.  I wish I could explain what made me stop, but honestly I don't know.  I just stopped biting my nails for some reason and I've had longer nails ever since.

I've always enjoyed painting my nails (even the short, gnawed on nubs I had as a kid) and buying cool, funky colors.  But it wasn't until about April of 2011 that I started to get really into nail art and all the different things you could do with polish.  Long story short (well, as short as can be): a conversation with a friend at work about Sally Hansen polish strips led to talking about OPI Black Shatter.  OPI Black Shatter led me to OPI's Facebook page and the link to OPI's water marble tutorial on YouTube.  The tutorial on YouTube led me to the wonderful tutorials by Colette of My Simple Pleasures and my obsession just exploded from there!  Her YouTube page led me to her blog, which opened me up to the huge world of nail polish bloggers.

I thought about starting my own blog later that year, but wasn't sure if I should do it or not.  But then in February 2012, I decided to go for it and give it a shot.  My intention is for this to be more or less a photographic journal of all the designs I've decided to try and maybe a few opinions on some things.  I'm in no way an expert on any of this!  I hope you enjoy reading some of my posts and I welcome any comments, opinions, tips, etc. that you might want to leave for me on my posts.  Thanks for stopping by!
